Carrie has been my best friend since I was 9 years old. We met in grade 4. I was a bit of a tomboy back then and she showed up to her first day at my school wearing the frilliest pink dress you can imagine with a very 80’s classic mushroom haircut. For some reason that moment is burnt into my memory. I’m not sure why her girlieness felt so threatening, maybe I was jealous. Maybe my intuition knew we were going to talk to each other pretty much everyday for the rest of our lives and it scared the crap out of me. Who knows?

But here she is 7.5 months pregnant. The first one of us to have a baby. I am so excited I can barely contain myself!!
