City Train Tracks..

Whenever I live anywhere that’s intensely urban like Toronto. I crave space, sometimes the park will due. But sometimes it’s not just the trees and fresh air I want it’s the quiet of having no people around. I live in a busy home with lots of people, on a busy street, close to two busy parks.

Back ten years ago when I still wandered the city looking for all my new favourite places I discovered the train tracks between Queen and Dundas that run along Lansdowne or Dufferin. There used to be a stairway leading to it underneath the Queen & Dufferin overpass. Now you have to squish between the fence behind the Country Site Cafe.

It was pretty lush up there with an old dirt road and trees. Not so much these days, at least until you get closer to Dundas. I still love going up there. It’s quiet and separate from the insanity of the city.
