As you may or may not have noticed I’m not being very diligent about getting things done around here. This summer is kicking my ass but in a very nice gentle way. But in all honesty I’m sort of in a sleepy haze of work, fun, work, more fun, lots more work.

The weather has been hot in Toronto and I’m trying to soak up every second of it. I love heat waves, sneaking off to the pools when I should be editing, late night drinks and sleeping until noon. Driving to strawberry fields, beaches and exploring tiny new towns that are almost the same as Perth, my home town but slightly different. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been working too. This summer has been the busiest so far and it makes me joyful in a way I never have been before that something I started from scratch is somehow able to take care of things.

Above are some photos from the Sandbanks Provincial Park. I’ve been going on day trips with my lady friends. These little excursions are the highlights of my summer! And, yes, up there in the top left hand corner is me. I don’t believe I’ve put a photo of myself up here before. Sort of overdue. It wasn’t weird at all when the lady and her daughter walked into the Sandbanks washroom to catch me taking pictures of myself in the mirror. Not at all awkward.
