Hello Autumn!!!

I find every September I start to slowly fall off the map. I retreat to my couch and find a television show to watch every single episode of. Last year it was Gossip Girl, this year it’s Mad Men. I daydream of comfort food, anything covered in gravy and surrounded by potatoes will do. I also have to find the self control not to go to Benetton and buy all the cashmere sweaters in the place. One year I did and it was a sad day when I looked over my budget and realized all those lovely soft sweaters had to go back to the store.

Fall is a busy time for me. It’s the last chance to have outdoor portraits done until the spring and with Christmas on the way September and October can get pretty chaotic. If you think you might want some outdoor portraits this year email me ASAP! I’m almost entirely booked up!

Above are shots from my shoot with Fancy Pants Kids. It was our 5th shoot together! How exciting! This is the owners son. He tags along every time because there are lots of kids and snacks and that’s generally a pretty awesome day for a 4 year old. But until now he’s avoided the big white back drop because that meant getting his photo taken. And well, that seemed like a really bad idea I guess. During the shoot last weekend though I noticed between models he’d slip into the background and play with his toys. And like any good baby photographer I stole his toys and pinned him down with my foot. I won’t lie I’ve been dying to get a good portrait of this little bugger for years! FINALLY!!!
