Agave Y Aguacate in Kensington Market

My new lunch spot! The past couple weeks I’ve been heading to Kensington because I’m newly in love with Agave Y Aguacate. The line is long, the wait is terrible. But the food is so delicious. The first time I went I got the Tinga Tostada. I took one bite and stopped in my tracks. I couldn’t move. I had to just stand there and eat the entire thing. Then I went again this week and I got the Meatball Sandwich. Half way through my sandwich I started thinking, this is kinda like a hamburger, but also kinda like a taco. This sandwich is genius, it’s the best of both. But better, if that’s possible?! Also, when they ask you if you would like the Lime Charlotte, say yes. Don’t even pause, yes is all you have to say. You won’t regret it! Chef Francisco “Paco” Alejandri started a blog also called Agave Y Aguacate before he opened his stand in the back of Gordo’s Fine Foods at 214 Augusta, there you can find some of his recipes!!

For all you photographers out there. I discovered an amazing site last week: Creative Live. They offer FREE online courses LIVE (obviously) with some of the worlds best photographers. You can tweet in questions and everything. Whenever I had a free moment last weekend I tuned into Food Photography with Penny De Los Santos. I learnt so much about food photography and I have such a new perspective. It will take a while for everything to sink in and I’ll feel a little shameful of my food photos until I totally get it. But this resource is incredible!
